Overview
We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our growing Finance team. Reporting to the Controller, this position is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and vendor accounts across a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, and construction operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in accuracy, and wants to be part of an organization that is continuing to grow.

Responsibilities

Process a high volume of vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.
Match invoices to purchase orders and supporting documentation.
Prepare payment runs (EFTs, cheques and wires).
Reconcile vendor statements and investigate discrepancies.
Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive vendor relationships.
Maintain vendor records, including tax information and banking details.
Assist with month-end accruals and account reconciliations.
Support audit requests by preparing documentation.
Work closely with Property Management, Construction and Operations teams to ensure invoices are coded correctly.
Assist with continuous improvement of accounts payable processes.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in an Accounts Payable or accounting support role.
Diploma or degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related discipline preferred.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environmen
