Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Recieving/Accounting Specialist to join our team. This role is essential for managing incoming stock, maintaining accurate stock records, and supporting overall accounting functions. The ideal candidate will have experience with various accounting software and possess strong analytical and data entry skills. This position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, contributing to the efficient operation receiving and accounting.
Duties
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, and PeopleSoft
- Perform data entry related to invoices, payments, and financial transactions with high accuracy
- Reconcile accounts and perform account analysis to ensure ledger accuracy
- Process incoming shipments and verify documentation against purchase orders and invoices
- Communicate effectively with vendors and clients regarding payment statuses and discrepancies
- Assist with bookkeeping tasks, including ledger management and journal entries
- Support month-end closing procedures by preparing necessary reports and documentation
- Provide excellent customer service through phone etiquette when addressing vendor or client inquiries
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes related to record keeping and reconciliation
Requirements
- Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, and PeopleSoft
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation processes
- Excellent data entry skills with high attention to detail
- Analytical skills for account analysis and data interpretation
- Proficiency in math and basic accounting principles
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Excellent communication skills, including professional phone etiquette
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Pay: $18.00-$24.00 per hour
