Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to manage and oversee the company's payroll processes. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, maintain compliance with relevant regulations, and support human resources functions related to employee compensation. Proficiency with payroll systems and accounting software is essential to succeed in this role. Responsibilities
- Process payroll accurately and efficiently using systems such as Workday, ADP, UltiPro, Kronos, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, or similar HRIS platforms
- Maintain and update employee records related to compensation, benefits, and deductions
- Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare reports for management review
- Manage data entry related to hours worked, overtime, bonuses, and other compensation components
- Ensure compliance with federal, provincial, and local payroll regulations and tax laws
- Assist with accounts payable and receivable as needed for payroll-related expenses
- Support human resources in onboarding new employees regarding payroll setup
- Conduct regular audits of payroll data to identify discrepancies or errors
- Collaborate with accounting teams on account reconciliation and bookkeeping tasks related to payroll expenses
Requirements
- Proven experience with payroll processing using platforms such as Workday, ADP, Kronos, UltiPro, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, or similar HRIS systems
- Strong knowledge of accounting software and familiarity with bookkeeping principles
- Proficiency in data entry with high accuracy and attention to detail
- Experience managing accounts payable and receivable processes related to payroll functions
- Excellent analysis skills for identifying discrepancies or issues within payroll data
- Knowledge of human resources practices related to employee compensation and benefits administration
- Ability to perform account reconciliation tasks efficiently
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience in accounting or bookkeeping is preferred but not required
This role is integral to maintaining the integrity of our payroll operations while supporting overall organizational efficiency.
Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
