Our Commercial team is excited to be adding an Account Assistant. Reporting to the Director of Commercial Lines, the Account Assistant fosters relationships with a book of business by supporting clients by advising and supporting their unique needs.
As a Commercial Account Assistant, you’ll be the go-to advisor for our clients, providing exceptional commercial account management and acting as the primary link between clients and insurance companies. In this role, you’ll expertly guide clients through the details of their insurance needs while ensuring everything aligns with our brokerage’s standards.
What You’ll Do:
- Marketing and Data Support: Maintain accurate client and policy information in Broker Management System and Policy Works to support marketing, renewal, and servicing activities.
- Policy Documentation: Prepare renewal correspondence, client communications, proposals, binders, confirmations of coverage, and other policy-related documents.
- Certificates & Endorsements: Issue Certificates of Insurance and review, process, and document policy endorsements accurately and efficiently.
- New Business & Renewals: Prepare submissions for new business and renewal opportunities, ensuring all required information is complete and ready for market.
- Account Manager Assistance: Support Account Managers by gathering underwriting information, providing reports (ITV, BVS, portal activity, and quotes), and assisting with day-to-day servicing needs.
- Policy Administration: Set up finance contracts, process cancellations, and communicate policy changes and cancellation activity to Account Managers.
- Client Service & Billing Support: Assist clients with billing and payment inquiries while delivering a high level of customer service.
- Team Support: Collaborate with colleagues and provide coverage during absences to ensure seamless client service.
- Professional Standards & Development: Stay current on industry trends, coverage changes, and underwriting updates while maintaining confidentiality, upholding professional ethics, and meeting RIBO continuing education requirements.
What You Bring:
- Licenses & Certifications: RIBO license or a willingness to pursue it.
- Skills: Top-notch communication, problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills.
- Efficiency: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
- Tech Savvy: Comfortable using MS Word, Outlook, company portals, and our Broker Management System.
- Professionalism: Positive demeanor and appearance, with a commitment to confidentiality and high standards of ethics.

Pay: $45,000.00-$51,000.00 per year
