How You’ll Make an Impact
- Fabricate and Prepare Models & Appliances: Use 3D printing technology to produce accurate dental models, create indirect bonding trays, manufacture Essix retainers, and fabricate other orthodontic appliances with precision and care.
- Maintain Lab Equipment & Cleanliness: Polish and maintain instruments, and oversee weekly and monthly maintenance of ultrasonic units, rag wheels, and plaster traps to ensure a safe, clean, and efficient lab environment.
- Support Clinical and Lab Operations: Work alongside an experienced lab technician to assemble basic orthodontic appliances, complete minor appliance repairs, prepare cases for external labs, and ensure all materials are ready for clinical use.
- Manage Inventory & Documentation: Track appliance fabrication, process supply orders, maintain organized records, and provide administrative support to ensure smooth lab operations.
- Collaborate with the Team: Work closely with clinical and administrative staff, participate in team meetings, and contribute to a positive, respectful, and efficient orthodontic clinic environment.
About You
- Previous experience in a lab or sterilization role is an asset; however, we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Familiarity with infection control and sterilization protocols in a clinical setting is considered an asset.
- Prior experience with wire bending for Hawley retainer fabrication is considered an asset.
- Comfortable learning new systems and technology quickly, with a strong overall technical aptitude.
- Friendly, clear communicator with a patient-focused and team-oriented approach.
- Strong ability to prioritize tasks, stay organized, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
