The successful candidate will possess a Master's of Social Work (MSW) Degree in good standing combined with a preferred minimum of 3 years of post-graduate, direct clinical experience in mental health and/or addictions treatment. The candidate must be a registered member in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) and authorized to perform the controlled act of psychotherapy. You must also be eligible for an adjunct faculty appointment with faculties of Social Work that have affiliation agreements with CAMH in order to supervise social work students. Experience working with the LGBTQ2S community is required, and Rainbow Service prioritizes hiring team members who reflect the diversity of its clients; as such, the successful candidate will bring lived experience of identifying as a member of the LGBTQ2S community.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential to working effectively within interprofessional teams, engaging with clients, families, and community care providers, and thriving in a fast-paced clinical environment. You will have demonstrated knowledge and experience in concurrent disorders, trauma, mood and anxiety disorders, stimulant use, and evidence-based treatments, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), among others. Preference will be given to those holding relevant certificates or certifications. You must also possess a current understanding of the research related to substance use issues in LGBTQ2S populations, best practices for serving individuals with diverse gender identities and expressions, harm reduction principles, and anti-oppressive frameworks. Familiarity with community resources, discharge planning, and the recovery model is required.
The ability to work with stakeholders and clients from diverse ethno-racial and ethno-cultural backgrounds is necessary. Proficiency in French/English and/or a second language is considered an asset. Excellent computer skills, including word processing, electronic communication, and workload measures, are essential. For Registered Social Workers not yet in independent practice who require clinical supervision, CAMH will pre-arrange a formal supervisory relationship with the clinical program, based on capacity.
Salary Range: $40.25-$54.24/hour
