THE OPPORTUNITY: BOOKKEEPER
We are looking for a Bookkeeper to join our Sundre, Alberta team. You do not need to know everything on day one - we are looking for someone with a solid foundation, a willingness to learn and an interest in building their bookkeeping skills. You will work with a variety of clients and receive support as you develop experience in full-cycle bookkeeping, financial reporting, payroll, government remittances and personal tax preparation.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Support and perform full-cycle bookkeeping for a variety of clients

Maintain accurate and up-to-date client financial records
-
Prepare and organize year-end information
-
Assist with payroll and related government remittances

Prepare GST/HST
-
Prepare T1 personal income tax returns
-
Prepare financial, statistical and accounting reports

Build your knowledge and skills with guidance and support from experienced team members
WHAT YOU BRING:
-
1-2 years previous bookkeeping or accounting experience is an asset

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
-
Comfortable working with technology and an interest in learning new systems
-
A willingness to ask questions, receive feedback and continue developing your skills

Strong communication skills and a client-service mindset

Experience with QuickBooks Desktop or Online, Sage, AgExpert, Microsoft Excel, Profile or TaxPrep is an asset, but we are willing to provide training and support.
