About Aquaturbo:
Aquaturbo is a professional swim academy focused on both competitive swimmer development and beginner swim education. We currently operate indoor heated pools (30°C) in Vancouver West and Richmond.
Our goal is to provide structured, high-level swim instruction while building a stable, professional, and growth-oriented environment for our coaching team.
We Are Actively Hiring: Senior Swim Instructor(Min 3 yrs of swim teaching experience)
Position Type
- Part-time: 8–20 hours per week
- Full-time: 30 hours per week
Work Location
- Vancouver West / Richmond
Coaches may be required to teach at both locations depending on scheduling needs.
Compensation
- Base Pay: CAD $30–$36/hour
- Final compensation will be determined based on trial lesson performance, teaching ability, professional background, and overall evaluation.

Responsibilities:
- Teach swimmers from beginner to advanced levels
- Coach students with competitive foundations or higher-level swimming ability
- Demonstrate all four competitive strokes confidently and accurately
- Analyze and correct stroke technique effectively
- Deliver structured, level-appropriate lessons
- Communicate professionally with students and parents
- Follow Aquaturbo’s teaching system and instructional standards
- Maintain a safe, positive, and well-managed class environment
- Participate in team training, lesson reviews, and program development
Mandatory Requirements:
- Must hold a valid legal work permit with at least 1 year remaining
- Must be able to demonstrate all four competitive strokes proficiently
- Minimum 3 years of consistent swim teaching experience within the past 5 years
- Must be capable of coaching both complete beginners and advanced swimmers
- Fluent in English (approximately 70% English / 30% Chinese instruction environment)
- Valid CPR / First Aid certification required
- Valid Swim Instructor certification required
- Must genuinely enjoy in-water teaching and working with children
- Must be passionate about long-term career development in swim coaching

Preferred Qualifications:
- Fluent in Mandarin
- Former competitive swimmer
- Experience in both competitive swim coaching and beginner swim instruction
- Strong class management, lesson pacing, and professional communication skills
- Experience working with children under 5 years old
- Experience working with children with special needs, including autism, ADHD, or other developmental differences
- Ability to provide structured and patient instruction for young or special-needs students
