Marketing and Promotion Specialist
The Marketing and Promotion Specialist works with the program managers to develop strategies and create promotional materials to attract motivated clients, employer partners, and community collaborations. Duties include community outreach, website monitoring and updates, social media promotions, and identifying new marketing opportunities. Uses up-to-date labour market information and industry trends to guide outreach and marketing strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Community Outreach & Promotion
· You will build meaningful relationships with partners and clients, and ensure that our outreach is culturally relevant, accessible, and inclusive.
· Attend industry and community events to network and build relationships that will contribute to the success of the program.
· Develop inclusive campaigns ideas to raise awareness of Bredin's Red Deer Programs
· Ensure outreach materials and messaging are culturally responsive and inclusive.
Development of Promotional Materials
· Create brochures, posters, business cards, print ads in accordance with Bredin branding and processes.
· Collaborate with coworkers to understand client journeys to ensure person-centered messaging that speaks to diverse target audiences.
· Use storytelling and testimonials for a more genuine and personalized communication.
· Review and update current materials to ensure fresh perspectives.
Website and Social Media
· Regularly monitor and update the website to ensure it reflects current programming.
· Review inquiries and forward to appropriate staff members and confirm contact is made.
· Create compelling content for social media platforms and website.
· Run targeted ads and engage with the audience by responding to comments, questions, and messages.
· Track the performance of the contents and campaigns to determine if there is an increase in brand awareness and marketing reach.
Analytics & Continuous Improvement
· Provide program manager outreach metrics following each campaign or event.
· Use both quantitative and qualitative information to develop monthly marketing report.
· Meet regularly with program manager to discuss marketing activities to identify what is working and what needs to be reviewed.
Qualifications & Skills
· Post-secondary training in marketing, business administration, communications, or a similar field.
· Excellent communication, advocacy, relationship-building, and critical thinking skills.
· Advanced knowledge of Alberta’s labour market, educational resources, regulatory processes, and community supports.
· Ability to generate innovative ideas for campaigns and content to capture the attention of the intended audience.
· Experience designing, executing, and evaluating marketing or outreach campaigns.
· Fluency with social media, email marketing tools, CRM systems, analytics dashboards
· Ability to adapt messaging to different literacy levels, languages, and communication preferences.
