Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Supervisor to oversee daily operations and deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in restaurant operations, food preparation, team leadership, and customer service. This role offers the opportunity to lead a team, maintain high operational standards, and contribute to the overall success of our establishment.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate a team of 7–8 employees to ensure smooth daily operations.
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes while maintaining quality and consistency standards.
Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and food handling regulations.
Provide exceptional customer service and resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally.
Monitor kitchen and dining area operations to ensure cleanliness, efficiency, and adherence to safety standards.
Train and mentor new employees on restaurant procedures, hospitality standards, and workplace safety protocols.
Support front-of-house operations, including serving and barista duties, when required.
Prepare and manage weekly employee schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate ordering of food, beverages, and supplies as needed.
Enforce health and safety policies to maintain a safe environment for employees and guests.
Foster a positive team culture by leading through example and promoting high performance.

Qualifications

Minimum 6 months of supervisory experience in a restaurant, food service, or retail environment preferred.
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, food handling procedures, and kitchen operations.
Experience using restaurant management systems, point-of-sale (POS) systems, and employee scheduling tools.
Demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional customer service and hospitality.
Previous experience in restaurant, kitchen, hospitality, or food industry operations is preferred.
Proven leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate, coach, and manage a diverse team.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
Thorough understanding of food safety regulations and standards, including HACCP principles and local health requirements.
Previous experience as a server, barista, or in other front-of-house roles is considered an asset.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality and attention to detail.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and multitask effectively.
Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and nights.
Availability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
Legally authorized to work in Canada.
