Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company's accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, and maintaining financial records. This role requires strong analytical skills and proficiency in accounting software to support our financial operations.

Responsibilities

Process and manage invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Verify receipts, purchase orders, and other documentation to facilitate timely payments.
Maintain organized records of all accounts payable transactions.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
Prepare and execute payments via checks, electronic transfers, and credit cards.
Assist in month-end closing processes, including accruals and financial reporting.
Communicate effectively with vendors and property managers regarding payment inquiries.
Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounts payable function.
Perform additional duties as required to support the finance team and company operations.

Experience

Previous experience in an accounts payable or accounting role is preferred.
Proficiency in accounting software such as Yardi, Buildium, Quickbooks or similar platforms is highly desirable.
Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to analyze financial data and generate reports effectively.
Familiarity with payroll processes is a plus.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with vendors and team members.
