Position Description

Mercer Celgar is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Engineering team as a Maintenance Engineer, Mechanical.

Core Responsibilities

Analyze and update equipment criticality utilizing our established process.
Audit and develop equipment maintenance strategies to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Plan, manage and execute asset inspection and high value maintenance projects.
Plan, manage and execute maintenance of business CAPEX projects.
Support production, maintenance and project teams as the equipment subject matter expert.
Investigate equipment failures and recommend solutions.
Provide input to long term and annual business plans.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Registered with a Canadian Engineering Association (EGBC, APEGA, PEO, etc.) as a P.Eng.
Several years experience in the maintenance area with knowledge of best maintenance practices.
Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to coordinate work activities with input from a wide cross-section of individuals within the organization.
Familiarity with NBIC, API, and ASME codes and standards.

Pension and Benefits. We provide a competitive pension plan, with base contributions made by Mercer which can be supplemented with personal contributions matched by the company up to a certain %.
Our group benefits package, which has no waiting period, includes extended health and dental benefits and an on-site gym.
The Salary Range for this position is $92,000 - $158,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
