Shop Assistant

Position Summary
Northland Ford is looking for a hardworking, reliable, energetic Shop Assistant / Lube & Tire Helper to join our Service Department.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in the automotive industry and wants to learn and grow within a dealership environment. We are looking for a hustler—someone who likes to stay busy, sees what needs to be done, and is willing to jump in and help.
This position is a hands-on role that assists with tire work, basic lube and maintenance duties, vehicle movement, customer shuttle duties, shop cleanup, and general day-to-day support of the Service Department.

Key ResponsibilitiesTire & Shop Assistance
- Assist with tire changes, tire storage, organization, and moving tires.
- Help technicians with general shop duties and basic tasks.
- Assist with oil changes and basic maintenance duties where trained and qualified.
- Keep tire equipment and work areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Help prepare vehicles for service and customer delivery.
Vehicle Porter Duties
- Move and park customer and dealership vehicles safely.
- Pick up and deliver vehicles when required.
- Keep the service drive and parking areas organized.
- Ensure vehicles are in the proper location and ready when needed.
Customer Shuttle Driver
- Safely transport customers when shuttle service is required.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service.
- Represent Northland Ford positively while interacting with customers.
- Keep the shuttle vehicle clean and presentable.
Shop & Facility Support
- Sweep, clean, and maintain the shop throughout the day.
- Empty garbage and recycling.
- Keep work areas, entrances, and assigned areas clean and organized.
- Assist with moving parts, supplies, tires, and equipment.
- Help with seasonal and general cleanup duties.
- Step in and assist wherever needed to keep the department running efficiently.

There will be times when you are changing or moving tires, cleaning the shop, shuttling a customer, moving vehicles, or helping a technician. We are looking for someone who is willing to do whatever is needed to help the team and get the job done.

Pay: From $18.50 per hour
Work Location: In person
