Greenstone Solutions LTD is looking for an experienced Hardscape & Landscape Construction Foreman to join our team in the Okanagan.
This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who understands landscape construction from the ground up and can help organize a crew, operate equipment, solve problems on site, and keep projects moving efficiently.
Our work includes retaining walls, paving stones, excavation, grading, drainage, irrigation, turf, decorative rock, steps, and other landscape construction projects. We are looking for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship and is comfortable taking responsibility for a job site while still working alongside the crew.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead and organize a small landscape construction crew
- Plan daily tasks and help keep projects on schedule
- Review project scope, measurements, grades, elevations, and layouts
- Coordinate labour, materials, equipment, and deliveries
- Build segmental retaining walls including excavation, base preparation, drainage, backfill, and geogrid installation
- Install paving stone patios, walkways, driveways, and related hardscape features
- Complete excavation, grading, site preparation, and material placement
- Install drainage systems, French drains, irrigation components, turf, edging, decorative rock, and other landscape features
- Operate mini excavators, skid steers, compactors, saws, lasers, and other construction equipment
- Monitor workmanship and ensure installations meet company standards
- Identify potential site issues early and communicate them before they become larger problems
- Maintain a clean, organized, productive, and safe job site
- Help train and support less experienced team members
- Communicate professionally with management, clients, suppliers, and other contractors when required
- Help manage materials and equipment to reduce downtime, waste, and unnecessary costs
Experience & Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in hardscape or landscape construction, particularly in:
- Segmental block retaining walls
- Paving stone installation
- Excavation and grading
- Drainage and site preparation
- Mini excavator and skid steer operation
- General landscape construction
Experience working with products such as Basalite, Barkman, Keystone, Verti-Block, or similar retaining wall and paving stone systems is an asset.
Previous foreman, crew-lead, or supervisory experience is preferred, but we will also consider an experienced hardscape professional who has the ability and attitude to step into a leadership role.

Requirements
- Valid driver's licence is required
- Reliable transportation is required
- Relevant hardscape, landscape construction, excavation, or related experience
- Ability to safely operate common landscape construction tools and equipment
- Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work
- Strong understanding of job-site safety and safe equipment operation

Experience Preferred
- Hardscape or landscape construction: 3+ years
- Retaining wall construction: 2+ years
- Paving stone installation: 2+ years
- Excavation or equipment operation: 2+ years
- Crew leadership or foreman experience: preferred

Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour
