Job description – Quality Control Inspector
Structural Tank Equipment & Maintenance (Canada) Limited (STEM|CAN) is looking to grow our team and fill a full-time Quality Control Inspector in a steel tank manufacturing environment, located in Scarborough, Ontario. ISO 9001:2015 Certified Company.

Quality Control Inspector Responsibilities:
- To ensure all products manufactured comply with all relevant standards, Quality Control Manual & customer requirements.
- Conduct Visual & Dimensional Inspection of parts, Fit-up, Post welding & finished item in shop floor using tools, gauges etc.
- Maintaining maintenance and calibration records.
- Review all work orders, shop drawing and specifications for QA requirement before release.
- Inspection of all incoming raw materials to conform to the requirements of the Quality Manual.
- Identify and record non-conformance and recommend solutions to quality problems and verify correction of non-conforming items. Maintain & all quality records.
- Supervise & coordinate Hydro testing of Pressure & Non pressure vessels as per code.
- To conduct support ISO 9001 internal audits & maintain Regulatory requirements.
- To conduct & support continuous Improvement initiatives like Lean Manufacturing & 5S
- Other duties as required.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in Fabrication/Metal working as QC/QA
- Certified Welding Inspector as per CSA Std W178.2 Level 1 or 2.
- Good knowledge of welding
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong in all Microsoft applications
- Strong sense of time organization and urgency
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to work independently and within a team
- Knowledge of Syspro is an asset
