Key Responsibilities
- Deliver classroom, lab, and clinical instruction in the Psychiatric Nursing Program.
- Lead Year 1 or Year 2 clinical placements, simulation labs, and student skill development.
- Support curriculum delivery aligned with program standards and accreditation requirements.
- Mentor and guide students through academic and clinical progression.
- Coordinate and oversee clinical learning environments to ensure quality educational experiences.
- Integrate innovative teaching methods and technologies into instruction.
- Collaborate with faculty and leadership on program development and continuous improvement.
- Promote culturally safe, inclusive, and student-centered learning environments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Psychiatric Nursing (BSPN); Master’s degree preferred.
- Current or eligible registration with the Registered Psychiatric Nurses Association of Saskatchewan.
- Strong clinical experience in psychiatric or mental health nursing.
- Previous teaching, preceptorship, or mentorship experience is considered an asset.
- Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.
- Passion for education and advancing psychiatric nursing practice
Compensation:
- Competitive Salary: Total compensation (base plus a market stipend of $15,000) ranging from $82,660.00 – $117,684.00 annually, commensurate with education and experience.
