Beth Maricic Design is a boutique residential interior design studio based in Dundas, Ontario. We create thoughtful, highly personalized homes that reflect the people who live in them.
Our projects range from century-home renovations to custom kitchens, bathrooms, additions, and whole-home furnishings throughout Hamilton, Burlington, Oakville, Mississauga, and beyond. We are seeking an Intermediate Interior Designer & Project Coordinator to join our team during a one-year maternity leave contract beginning in August/September 2026 with the potential for extension based on business needs and mutual fit.
About the Role
This role combines technical design, procurement, and project coordination.
While you will contribute to design development, your primary responsibility is ensuring projects are accurately documented, organized, ordered, and executed from concept through installation.
You will work closely with Principal Designer Beth Maricic to translate design concepts into detailed drawing packages, coordinate procurement, manage project details, and help ensure projects move smoothly from concept through completion.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, technically skilled, proactive, and enjoys creating systems that keep projects on track. You are someone who takes pride in accuracy, follow-through, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks.
ResponsibilitiesTechnical Design
- Prepare and revise AutoCAD drawing packages, including floor plans, elevations, millwork details, and construction drawings
- Develop and maintain SketchUp models
- Assist with kitchen, bathroom, custom millwork and furniture design
- Conduct site measurements and document existing conditions
- Prepare specifications and documentation for contractors, trades, and suppliers
- Review drawings and project information for accuracy and completeness
Project Coordination
- Maintain project schedules and timelines
- Coordinate communication between clients, contractors, trades, suppliers, and vendors
- Track project milestones and proactively identify potential issues
- Attend site meetings and prepare follow-up notes and action items
- Support project installations and styling days
Procurement & Order Management
- Prepare and manage purchase orders
- Track orders, deliveries, backorders, and installation schedules
- Communicate with suppliers regarding lead times and product availability
- Maintain accurate project budgets and procurement records
- Coordinate deliveries and resolve issues as they arise
- Ensure all project information is current, organized, and easily accessible
Qualifications
- 3–7 years of residential interior design experience
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (required)
- SketchUp experience (required)
- Experience with kitchen, bathroom, and millwork design
- Excellent understanding of residential construction and design documentation
- Experience managing procurement, orders, and vendor relationships
- Advanced organizational and project management skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to manage budgets, procurement tracking, specifications, and project documentation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
