Brief Summary:

From fuel costs to freight margins, our financial data reveals the true dynamics of the business. As the Manager, FP&A, you will play a critical role in driving the financial planning and analysis that underpin strategic decision‑making. Reporting to the Director, FP&A, you will oversee the development of financial models, forecasts, and performance metrics, while mentoring analysts and strengthening core financial processes. In this highly visible position, you will collaborate closely with leaders across the organization, ensuring management remains fully engaged in shaping outcomes. Success in this role requires a strong analytical mindset, proven leadership capabilities, and the ability to transform complex data into actionable insights that guide the company’s direction.

About the Role / Key Accountabilities:

Lead a small finance team while managing and delivering complex financial projects.
Develop and track key transportation cost drivers, including fuel, freight, mileage, maintenance, and carrier rates, ensuring effective cost control and informed strategic decision-making.
Drive continuous improvement in transportation economics by analyzing trucking cost trends, identifying operational efficiencies, and implementing initiatives that deliver sustainable cost savings.
Develop financial models, forecasts, budgets, cost models, and scenario analyses to assess profitability using advanced data and analytical tools.
Partner with cross‑functional leaders to evaluate business initiatives, ensuring financial implications are clearly understood and aligned with organizational objectives.
Oversee the preparation of management reporting packages, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and timely delivery to executive stakeholders.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop dashboards that enhance visibility into operational and financial performance.
Analyze financial data, trends & variances to identify risks, opportunities, and actionable insights.
Lead ad‑hoc financial analyses to support strategic projects, pricing decisions, and operational improvements.
Collaborate with accounting teams to ensure alignment between FP&A insights and financial statement results
Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying cost‑reduction opportunities across fuel, maintenance, labor, third‑party carrier spend, etc.
Mentor team through guidance, coaching, & oversight on complex analytical tasks.
Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

5+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, with at least 1–2 years in a leadership or management role.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field; CPA, CFA, or MBA is required.
Experience required in corporate, manufacturing and/or supply chain logistics environment
Advanced financial modeling, business acumen, leadership, and data-driven mindset.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to provide data-driven recommendations.
Proactive approach to identifying improvements and developing strategies.
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft suite software and Windows operating systems.
Familiarity with data visualization software (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
