About the Position
Sky Drones Inc. is seeking a hands-on, technically minded Warehouse Manager & Agricultural Drone Technician to join our growing team.
This is a unique position combining warehouse management, agricultural drone repair and maintenance, inventory control, shipping and receiving, customer technical support, and equipment preparation for demonstrations and training.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working with their hands, diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electronic equipment, working with computers and multiple software systems, and communicating directly with customers and dealers.
This position is on-site Monday–Friday, working between our Taber and Cranford, Alberta locations as required.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to take on increasing leadership responsibilities, including potentially overseeing future service technicians, warehouse personnel, and an administrator/service coordinator.
We are looking for someone who wants to grow with the company and take ownership of building a strong service and after-sales support department.
Key Responsibilities
Agricultural Drone Repair & Technical Support
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain agricultural drones and associated equipment.
- Identify mechanical, electrical, electronic, software, and operational issues.
- Perform component replacement, repairs, assembly, and disassembly as required.
- Test equipment following repairs to ensure it is operating properly.
- Maintain accurate repair records, including issues identified, parts used, and work completed.
- Assist with warranty repairs and documentation.
- Communicate directly with customers and dealers experiencing technical issues.
- Provide clear troubleshooting guidance by phone, email, or other communication methods.
- Determine whether issues can be resolved remotely or require physical inspection and repair.
- Escalate complex issues when necessary and maintain appropriate follow-up with customers.
Demonstration & Training Equipment
- Prepare agricultural drones and accompanying equipment for customer demonstrations, training, and dealer events.
- Inspect aircraft and equipment prior to demonstrations.
- Ensure batteries are charged and properly stored.
- Check controllers, chargers, pumps, spray systems, spreading systems, generators, and other equipment.
- Ensure equipment is clean, functional, complete, and properly packed.
- Assist with loading, unloading, transportation, and setup of demonstration equipment.
- Inspect and properly store equipment following demonstrations and training.
Warehouse & Inventory Management
- Oversee the day-to-day operation and organization of the warehouse.
- Maintain organized storage of drones, batteries, chargers, parts, accessories, and equipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records across company systems.
- Receive and enter inventory into appropriate systems.
- Track inventory transfers between locations.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and investigate discrepancies.
- Track serial numbers and high-value equipment where applicable.
- Monitor parts and equipment levels and communicate replenishment requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, secure, and professional warehouse and repair environment.
Shipping & Receiving
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments.
- Verify shipments against packing slips and purchase documentation.
- Prepare customer, dealer, warranty, and internal shipments.
- Package drones, parts, batteries, and equipment appropriately.
- Prepare shipping documentation and arrange shipments with carriers.
- Track shipments and investigate delays, damages, or missing shipments.
- Coordinate returns and warranty shipments.
- Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records.
Computer & Administrative Responsibilities
This position requires strong computer skills and the ability to work comfortably within multiple software platforms.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining digital inventory and repair records.
- Using manufacturer software for drone diagnostics and configuration.
- Tracking customer and dealer technical issues.
- Using email, spreadsheets, shipping platforms, inventory systems, and document management systems.
- Researching technical information and manufacturer documentation.
- Learning and adapting to new software and systems as the company grows.
Dealer & Internal Support
- Prepare equipment for dealer deliveries and demonstrations.
- Assist dealers with technical questions and troubleshooting.
- Support dealer training activities.
- Provide technical information to sales and business development staff.
- Identify parts and equipment required to support customer and dealer needs.
- Assist with product demonstrations and events when required.
Qualifications & Experience
Required
- Previous experience working with agricultural equipment, mechanical equipment, drones, electronics, or a related technical field.
- Strong mechanical and technical troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to diagnose problems and determine appropriate solutions.
- Ability to perform hands-on repairs and maintenance.
- Strong computer skills and the ability to learn multiple software systems.
- Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, or inventory experience.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's licence.
- Ability to work on-site at both Taber and Cranford locations as required.
Assets
- Experience repairing agricultural spray drones.
- Experience with Ceres Air or other agricultural drones.
- Agricultural equipment or dealership experience.
- Electrical or electronic troubleshooting experience.
- Experience with pumps, spray systems, motors, batteries, controllers, or sensors.
- Experience with agricultural spraying or spreading equipment.
- Experience with inventory management or ERP systems.
- Experience with shipping platforms and carrier systems.
- Experience providing technical customer support.
- Experience operating agricultural drones.
- Experience preparing equipment for demonstrations or training.

Physical Requirements
This is a hands-on warehouse and technical position. The successful candidate must be comfortable:
- Standing and walking for extended periods.
- Bending, reaching, crouching, and working in various positions.
- Loading and unloading shipments.
- Moving drones, batteries, cases, accessories, and other agricultural equipment.
- Working with tools and equipment.
- Working indoors and outdoors as required.
- Working in warehouse, workshop, and agricultural environments.
- Safely lifting and moving equipment weighing 50 lbs or more, with assistance when appropriate.
Work Environment & Schedule
This is a full-time, on-site position based out of Taber and Cranford, Alberta.
Schedule:
- Monday–Friday
- 8 hours per day
- 40 hours per week
- Primarily daytime hours
Occasional schedule adjustments, extended hours, weekend work, demonstrations, training events, or travel may be required depending on customer needs, seasonal demands, and company events.
Compensation & Growth
$60,000–$80,000 per year, based on experience, technical qualifications, and demonstrated capabilities.
This salary range represents the starting compensation for the position, with opportunity for increased responsibility and advancement as the company and service department grow.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop into a leadership position overseeing a growing service and after-sales support team, including future service technicians, warehouse personnel, and administrative staff.
