Kelly Services is currently recruiting for Seasonal Seed Technicians on behalf of a leading agricultural client in Lethbridge, Alberta. These full-time seasonal positions run from mid-August through April and offer $23.00 per hour, with overtime opportunities available during peak production periods.

Position Details
- Pay Rate: $23.00 per hour
- Location: Lethbridge, AB
- Seasonal Contract: Mid-August 2026 through April 2027
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Primary Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- Overtime: Available during peak production periods
- Shift Flexibility: Candidates must be willing to work alternate shifts and overtime as operational needs require
- Work Environment: Approximately 95% indoor production facility and 5% outdoor work
About the Role
As a Seasonal Seed Technician, you will play an important role in the safe and efficient processing of seed products. Working as part of a collaborative team, responsibilities may include seed cleaning, seed treating, packaging, quality control, warehouse support, and general production activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor seed processing equipment
- Support seed cleaning, treatment, and packaging operations
- Inspect product quality and maintain seed purity standards
- Monitor production lines and identify packaging defects
- Perform routine equipment inspections
- Assist with material handling activities
- Support shipping, receiving, and inventory processes
- Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment (where qualified)
- Follow all safety procedures and quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Availability to work 40 hours per week, with overtime and shift flexibility as required
- Ability to lift up to 30 kg (66 lbs.)
- Ability to work at heights
- Ability to wear a dust mask and other required PPE
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and environmental conditions
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to follow procedures and safety requirements
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Proficient English language skills
- Ability to successfully complete a criminal background check
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in agriculture, manufacturing, production, warehouse, or general labour roles
- Forklift experience or certification
- Shipping, receiving, or inventory control experience
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new systems
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Additional safety certifications considered an asset
Physical Requirements
- Lift and move materials weighing up to 66 lbs. (30 kg)
- Stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
- Work in a fast-paced production environment
- Occasionally work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, and humidity
