Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and strategic Business Development Manager for Canada to spearhead growth initiatives and expand our market presence with a primary focus on the mining, oil & gas, and major infrastructure (mega project) sectors. Reporting to the Director – Buildings Division & Mission Critical Manufacturing, this role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic customer relationships, and driving revenue growth through the promotion of the company's products and services.
The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter with a passion for building partnerships and delivering impactful solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategic business development plan for the Canadian market.
- Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities within the mining, oil & gas, and mega project sectors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, including owners, EPC firms, engineering consultants, and contractors.
- Identify upcoming projects and position the company early in the project lifecycle.
- Prepare and deliver technical and commercial presentations to clients.
- Collaborate with engineering, estimating, operations, and project management teams to develop competitive proposals.
- Negotiate commercial agreements and support contract execution.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify growth opportunities.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events.
- Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and provide regular forecasts and market intelligence to senior management.
- Achieve or exceed annual sales and business development targets.
Qualifications:
- Experience in business development, sales, construction, engineering, or industrial markets is an asset but not required.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and develop professionally.
- Interest in the mining, oil & gas, manufacturing, and major project sectors across Canada.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with CRM software is an asset.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout Canada (approximately 20–40%).
Preferred Experience
- Experience supporting large capital or mega projects from the planning through execution phases.
- Familiarity with procurement processes for major industrial projects.
- Technical understanding of industrial building systems, engineered products, construction services, or mission-critical facilities.

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
