Position Overview
We are hiring experienced Plow Truck Operators & Crew Leaders for the upcoming winter season.
You'll operate company-owned ¾-ton pickup trucks equipped with straight blades, V-plows, or box plows, while leading a small crew during snow events. You'll be responsible for maintaining high-quality work, supporting and directing your crew, communicating with management, and ensuring your assigned residential route is completed safely and efficiently.
As the season progresses, you'll become responsible for your own residential route and customers, taking pride in delivering consistent, dependable service throughout the winter.
This is a seasonal, on-call position. Snow removal is an essential service, and operators must be available for all snow events, including overnight, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Operate company plow trucks safely and efficiently
- Lead and support a small snow removal crew
- Ensure work is completed to company quality standards
- Train and mentor crew members while maintaining productivity
- Complete assigned residential routes throughout Oakville and Burlington
- Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
- Report equipment issues immediately
- Communicate with dispatch and management throughout snow events
- Represent MJ Landscapers professionally and respect every client's property
Requirements
We're looking for dependable operators who understand the commitment that snow removal requires.
Applicants must have:
- Valid Ontario G-Class driver's licence
- Previous experience operating plow trucks or snow removal equipment
- Basic mechanical knowledge
- Ability to work long hours in harsh winter conditions
- Full availability for all snow events
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Leadership skills and the ability to guide a small crew
- Professional attitude and attention to detail
Pay & Benefits
Hourly Wage: $30.00–$40.00/hour (based on experience)
