About Us
We are a growing, small print and signage company located in Sherwood Park. Over the past 7 years, we've built a strong reputation for quality, customer service, and delivering projects on time. As our business continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Graphic Designer / Print Project Coordinator to join our team and play an important role in supporting our continued growth.
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Sherwood Park, as the role requires daily collaboration with our production team, face-to-face customer interaction, and hands-on involvement in our print shop.
This is not an entry-level position. We are seeking someone with 4+ years of professional graphic design experience, ideally within the print, signage, or large-format graphics industry. The ideal candidate is creative, highly organized, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys seeing projects through from concept to completion.
Our shop processes 30+ projects every day, so you'll need to be comfortable managing multiple priorities, working efficiently under deadlines, and maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
Because we are a small business, every team member wears multiple hats. While graphic design and pre-press are a major focus of this position, you'll also be involved in project management, customer service, production coordination, and helping ensure jobs move smoothly through our shop.
Job Overview
As our Graphic Designer / Print Project Coordinator, you'll create high-quality, production-ready designs for a wide variety of customers and applications.
You'll work directly with customers to understand their needs, develop creative solutions, prepare and revise artwork, create proofs, and work closely with our production team to ensure every job is properly set up and ready for production.
In addition to graphic design and pre-press, you'll provide project management and coordination for the jobs you're working on. This includes keeping track of customer approvals, revisions, job specifications, deadlines, and production requirements to help ensure projects move smoothly through the shop.
This role is ideal for an experienced designer who enjoys variety, is comfortable working directly with customers, and likes seeing projects through from the initial idea to the finished product.
Responsibilities
- Design high-quality graphics for print, signage, vehicle wraps, apparel, promotional products, marketing materials, and digital applications.
- Prepare customer-supplied artwork for production, including file setup, corrections, resizing, and pre-press.
- Create accurate, production-ready artwork while considering materials, finishing methods, installation requirements, and production limitations.
- Manage multiple design and print projects simultaneously while ensuring deadlines are met.
- Work directly with customers to understand their design and printing needs and recommend appropriate creative and production solutions.
- Prepare customer proofs, manage revisions, and obtain artwork approvals.
- Coordinate projects from initial request and artwork development through approval and production.
- Keep track of customer approvals, job specifications, deadlines, materials, and production requirements.
- Work closely with production staff to ensure artwork is production-ready and meets quality standards.
- Create logos, branding materials, marketing collateral, signage layouts, vehicle graphics, decals, banners, displays, labels, and other custom print layouts.
- Help customers select appropriate products, substrates, paper stocks, materials, and finishing options based on their application and budget.
- Maintain brand consistency across customer and company projects.
- Assist with project scheduling, job tracking, and customer communication.
- Communicate with vendors and suppliers when required to coordinate customer projects.
- Stay current with industry trends, design techniques, printing methods, materials, and software updates.
- Assist with general office duties and support other team members when required.
- Occasionally assist with production-related tasks when needed.
- Occasionally drive company or personal vehicles for customer visits, site measurements, supplier pickups, deliveries, or other business-related tasks.

- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator is required.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign.
- Thorough understanding of print production, file preparation, bleeds, colour management, preflight, and pre-press workflows.

- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
