Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
OCDiesel LTD is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented E-Commerce Merchandiser to manage our online product catalogue and help strengthen the overall performance of our Shopify store.
This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for someone with proven experience managing a large e-commerce catalogue, coordinating product launches, maintaining accurate pricing and product data, and improving how products are presented and organized online.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, technically capable, comfortable working independently, and able to identify and solve problems without needing constant direction. Experience in the automotive, diesel performance, aftermarket parts, or related industries would be a major asset.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of product merchandising across our Shopify stores, including product listings, collections, navigation, pricing, images, tags, meta fields, descriptions, specifications, fitment information, availability, and more
- Regularly monitor competitor websites, supplier pricing, promotions, and market positioning to help keep our pricing competitive
- Create, update, and audit large volumes of product information using Shopify bulk editors, Excel, CSV files, and third-party applications
- Develop clear, accurate, and consistent product descriptions that balance technical information, customer usability, and search visibility
- Organize products into logical collections, categories, filters, and menus to improve the customer shopping experience
- Coordinate new product launches from initial supplier information through to a complete, customer-ready product page
- Review the website for missing information, incorrect pricing, broken images, formatting issues, discontinued products, and merchandising opportunities
- Maintain product data standards across titles, SKUs, vendors, tags, metafields, specifications, vehicle applications, and product options
- Work with suppliers and internal team members to gather accurate product information, pricing, images, and application details
- Create and edit product images and collection graphics using Photoshop and Canva
- Assist with website promotions, sales events, featured collections, new-brand launches, and seasonal campaigns
- Monitor product and collection performance to identify opportunities for improved placement, presentation, pricing, or content
- Support product feed accuracy for platforms such as Google Merchant Center and other advertising or marketplace channels
- Assist with basic on-page SEO, including product titles, descriptions, image naming, metadata, internal linking, and collection content
- Help develop and improve internal processes for adding products, updating pricing, tracking changes, and auditing the website
- Maintain a consistent visual and written brand standard across OCDiesel’s website, email marketing, advertising, and social media
- Support social media content, product announcements, and digital marketing initiatives as required
- Prepare regular reports on completed updates, pricing changes, catalogue issues, product launches, and merchandising opportunities
- Work independently while coordinating priorities and deadlines with management
Required Experience and Qualifications
- Professional experience in e-commerce merchandising, online catalogue management, digital product management, or a similar position
- Strong hands-on experience managing products and collections within Shopify
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including sorting, filtering, formulas, lookups, bulk data cleanup, and CSV management
- Experience managing large product catalogues with multiple variants, vendors, categories, specifications, and pricing levels
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Canva for product image editing and digital graphic creation
- Strong understanding of online merchandising, product organization, customer shopping behavior, and visual presentation
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to turn supplier information into clear and professional product content
- Strong attention to detail, particularly when working with pricing, part numbers, vehicle applications, specifications, and product data
- Proven ability to prioritize multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work independently
- Comfortable learning new software, applications, and internal systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to recognize issues, recommend solutions, and follow projects through to completion
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Shopify metafields, bulk editors, product feeds, inventory applications, and app integrations
- Familiarity with Google Merchant Center, Google Analytics, Google Ads, and other e-commerce reporting platforms
- Experience with basic search engine optimization and conversion-focused product content
- Experience building or maintaining product fitment data for automotive applications
- Experience working with supplier price sheets, MAP pricing, cost updates, margins, and competitor pricing
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, or Shopify Liquid is considered an asset
- Previous experience in the automotive aftermarket, diesel performance, truck parts, engine components, or mechanical industries is strongly preferred

You will be expected to proactively identify opportunities, establish better processes, reduce catalogue errors, support new product launches, and help improve the overall customer experience and performance of our online store.
