Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and organized Recreational Gymnastics Program Coordinator.
The Recreational Coordinator is responsible for the organization, quality, and day-to-day delivery of the club’s recreational programming. This role provides leadership and support to recreational coaches while ensuring classes, camps, events, and recreational programming run smoothly and positively for athletes and families.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for promoting active lifestyles, and be proficient in organizational skills and program management. Key Responsibilities
Recreational Program Oversight
- Be present during all core recreational programming
- - Monday/Wed/Fri evenings (approx 3:30-9:00pm, final schedule TBD)- Saturday daytime classes- Birthday parties (Saturday afternoon/evenings)
- Serve as on-floor lead/floater during recreational programming
- Step into classes or coaching gaps as needed
- Support coaches with athlete management and class flow
- Help maintain positive class energy and organization
Gym Readiness & Operations
- Ensure gym space is prepared before classes begin
- Assist with floor organization and class rotations
- Monitor overall recreational class flow and safety
- Ensure handouts are prepared for all classes, including progress reports
Programming & Lesson Planning
- Develop and improve recreational programming ideas
- Modify, complete, and print lesson plans
- Ensure coaches understand lesson plans and weekly focuses
- Help create consistency across recreational classes including maintaining progress reports
Staff Leadership & Development
- Hold recreational staff meetings
- Support and mentor recreational coaches
- Help build positive team culture and engagement
- Inspire staff and promote coaching consistency
- Track and help staff obtain coach training courses
Camps, Birthdays & Events
- Assist in coordinating PA Day camps (approximately 7 annually)
- Assist with organization of annual events such as the Year-end show and Holiday show
- Coach or ensure coverage for birthday party events (booked on Saturday afternoons)

- Strong recreational coaching background, or equivalent relevent experience
- Positive and energetic leader
- Organized and proactive on the floor
- Comfortable mentoring and supporting coaches
- Enjoys creating engaging athlete experiences
General Duties
- Coordinate with EGC board, staff, and volunteers to facilitate successful program delivery.
- Supervise staff, volunteers, and participants to ensure safety standards are maintained and programs are executed effectively.
- Monitor program participation levels and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Gymnastics Foundations NCCP Certification (or higher), or willing to obtain as soon as possible upon hire.
- SafeSport and Respect in Sport courses, or willing to obtain upon hire
- Experience in program management or administrative roles within similar recreational services.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize proficiently.
- Supervising experience with the ability to lead a team effectively and foster a positive work environment.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with parents, athletes, and staff.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
