Lenmak Exterior Innovations Inc. is seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Brake/Shear Operator who is looking for stable, long-term employment and the opportunity to build a career in specialized metal manufacturing.
This is not intended to be a short-term or temporary position. Our production equipment, processes, and architectural products require significant hands-on training. We are prepared to invest the time required to develop the right employee, and we are looking for someone who is equally committed to learning, improving, and becoming a long-term member of our production team.
Lenmak manufactures custom exterior architectural products, including metal cladding, roofing, flashing, trim, curtain wall components, insulated back pans, coils, sheets, and other custom metal solutions for commercial, residential, agricultural, and architectural projects.

What You Will Do
- Set up and operate shear equipment to cut sheet metal and coil material to precise dimensions.
- Operate and train on related fabrication equipment, including press brakes, slitters, roll-forming equipment, and CNC folding machines
- Read and follow work orders, drawings, cut lists, measurements, and production instructions.
- Measure and inspect completed parts to confirm accuracy, finish, and quality.
- Work with aluminum, steel, prefinished metal, sheet material, and coils.
- Identify and report equipment concerns, material defects, and quality issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and production-ready work area.
- Follow all equipment operating procedures and workplace safety requirements.
- Work with the production team to meet deadlines and maintain an efficient workflow.
- Assist with other production and shop duties when required.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience operating a shear, brake, slitter, saw, CNC Brakes, or similar manufacturing equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn specialized machinery.
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure and work with precise dimensions.
- Ability to understand drawings, work orders, cut lists, and written instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift, move, and handle materials.
- Reliable transportation and the ability to maintain consistent attendance.
- Willingness to follow established procedures, safety rules, and supervisor direction.
Preferred Experience
Experience in any of the following areas would be considered an asset:
- Architectural metal fabrication
- Sheet metal, flashing, roofing, cladding, or HVAC manufacturing
- Aluminum or steel fabrication
- CNC or automated fabrication equipment
- Forklift or overhead crane operation
- Quality inspections and production documentation
