Description complète du poste

Our client is seeking an Accounting Manager to work on a 3-month contract. Reporting to the VP, Finance, the key responsibilities of the Accounting Manager are:

Lead and oversee all accounting operations including Accounts Receivable, revenue recognition, Accounts Payable, cash management, inventory, fund accounting, capital assets, inter-entity accounting and financial reporting.
Manage accurate financial activities and adhere to relevant policies, procedures, accounting standards, and regulations, as well as timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close, including reconciliations, working papers, allocations, consolidations, and financial analysis.
Provide consolidated and non-consolidated financial information, financial statements, dashboards, and management reporting on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis for Budget Managers, Executives, Finance Committee and Board.
Serve as a strategic finance business partner and collaborate closely with cross functional departments to ensure accurate financial and to support all departmental leaders.
Lead and develop a high-performing Finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, business partnerships, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Ensure full compliance with ASNPO, CRA charitable regulations, funder restrictions, BC Housing agreements, and other external stakeholders’ requirements.

The ideal candidate is a designated accountant (CPA or equivalent) with 3+ years of NPO experience and 3+ years managing a Finance team. You also have the following key skills and experience for the job:

Full cycle accounting, month-end & year-end audit experience as well as fund accounting experience
NPO or charity experience would be essential
Netsuite experience would be an asset or similar ERP system for multi-entity environment
Strong interpersonal and written & verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams/departments
Strategic thinker with attention to detail.
Open-minded and collaborative team player with a willingness to help others.
Netsuite experience and/or large ERP systems experience would be an asset
Advanced Excel skills
