We are seeking a professional, organized, and customer-focused Dental Receptionist / Front Desk Coordinator to join our dental practice. As the first point of contact for patients, you will play a key role in creating a positive patient experience while ensuring the efficient operation of the front office. Responsibilities include appointment scheduling, patient registration, insurance verification, billing support, and administrative coordination. The ideal candidate must have prior dental office experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with dental practice management software.

Responsibilities

Welcome and assist patients in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner.
Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using dental practice management software.
Answer and direct incoming calls, respond to patient inquiries, and manage appointment requests.
Verify patient insurance coverage, process insurance information, and maintain accurate patient records.
Collect payments, co-payments, and outstanding balances while providing receipts and payment information.
Maintain and update electronic patient records in compliance with privacy and confidentiality regulations.
Assist with administrative duties, including data entry, filing, correspondence, and document management.
Coordinate with dentists, hygienists, and clinical staff to ensure a smooth patient flow throughout the day.
Manage patient check-in and check-out procedures efficiently and professionally.
Follow up on missed appointments, recalls, and treatment plan scheduling as needed.

Requirements

Dental office experience is mandatory; candidates without prior dental reception or dental administrative experience will not be considered.
Proficiency with dental practice management software.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, dental procedures, treatment plans, and dental insurance processes.
Experience with insurance verification, claims processing, billing, and patient account management.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with strong attention to detail.
Proven ability to manage a busy multi-line phone system in a fast-paced environment.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with a patient-focused approach.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information professionally.
Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Dependable, professional, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Only applicants with previous dental office experience will be considered for this position.

Pay: $21.00-$28.00 per hour
