As the first point of contact for patients, you will play a key role in creating a positive patient experience while ensuring the efficient operation of the front office. Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist patients in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner.
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using dental practice management software.
- Answer and direct incoming calls, respond to patient inquiries, and manage appointment requests.
- Verify patient insurance coverage, process insurance information, and maintain accurate patient records.
- Collect payments, co-payments, and outstanding balances while providing receipts and payment information.
- Maintain and update electronic patient records in compliance with privacy and confidentiality regulations.
- Assist with administrative duties, including data entry, filing, correspondence, and document management.
- Coordinate with dentists, hygienists, and clinical staff to ensure a smooth patient flow throughout the day.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out procedures efficiently and professionally.
- Follow up on missed appointments, recalls, and treatment plan scheduling as needed.
Requirements
- Dental office experience is mandatory; candidates without prior dental reception or dental administrative experience will not be considered.
- Proficiency with dental practice management software.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, dental procedures, treatment plans, and dental insurance processes.
- Experience with insurance verification, claims processing, billing, and patient account management.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with strong attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage a busy multi-line phone system in a fast-paced environment.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with a patient-focused approach.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information professionally.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Dependable, professional, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Pay: $21.00-$28.00 per hour
