ABOUT LIQUOR & CANNABIS
The Liquor & Cannabis Division resides within Business Development and supports innovative and progressive developments in AGLC’s liquor and cannabis businesses. AGLC is responsible for managing the supply chains of both lines of business in Alberta and all aspects of AGLC’s role in ensuring product fulfillment to downstream private retail enterprises. For Cannabis this includes evaluating incoming products, inventory management, and ensuring the highest quality of products are provided to Albertans. For Liquor this includes registration of liquor products, onboarding and supporting Alberta liquor manufacturers, and performing customs clearances for all liquor imported into the province. The division ensures adherence to applicable federal and provincial legislation and works closely with manufacturers, suppliers, agencies, licensed producers, liquor and cannabis licensees, and related associations. The division is supported by two branches: Stakeholder Management and Supply Chain & Warehousing.

JOB SUMMARY
The is a temporary position ending on or before March 31, 2028.
The Liquor & Cannabis Division of AGLC is looking for a highly organized administrative professional to join its team.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Stakeholder Management, the Liquor and Cannabis Operations Specialist provides operational and administrative support across AGLC’s liquor and cannabis portfolios. Serving as a key point of contact for suppliers, liquor agencies, licensed cannabis producers, and internal stakeholders, this role helps ensure the efficient delivery of product, supplier, and industry support services. The position is integral to maintaining data integrity, coordinating industry communications, and supporting business processes that enable timely, accurate, and effective service delivery across both the liquor and cannabis sectors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate cannabis licensed producer communications and support.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for licensed cannabis producers and liquor agencies
- Monitor and manage shared inboxes
- Prepare and distribute mass industry communications
- Support licensed producer onboarding process and coordinate related information and follow-up requirements
Support cannabis product submission, pricing and system maintenance processes.
- Consolidate product submissions
- Assist with product attribute updates and system maintenance activities
- Manage price protection processes
- Complete or support CPM attribute changes as a backup or secondary resource.
Manage liquor product and agency administration requests.
- Triage the product mailbox and direct requests or actions as required.
- Manage the BAIS agency mailbox
- Review Letters of Authorization and Letters of Understanding for new suppliers and follow up with liquor agencies where issues are identified.
Maintain liquor agency, warehouse and product information in business systems.
- Add new non-liquor agencies to Amanda and BAIS
- Implement agency transfers in BAIS on a weekly basis
- Add new warehouse operators and warehouse premises to BAIS
- Archive products when requested
Support reporting and annual submission processes.
- Run reports
- Assist with Annual Worldwide Production submissions
- Identify and escalate issues, inconsistencies or incomplete information that may affect product, agency or supplier records
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- High School Diploma
- Minimum 3 years of related experience
- Experience in administrative coordination, stakeholder support, data maintenance, regulatory operations or product/agency administration is required.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage competing deadlines while maintaining responsiveness
- Problem-solving skills
- Ability to accurately review, interpret, and process documentation while ensuring compliance with established requirements and procedures
