Job Overview:

The Project Manager leads the planning, engineering, execution, and delivery of capital and maintenance projects within the Liquid Pipelines business. This role is responsible for managing project scope, schedule, budget, procurement, and stakeholder coordination while ensuring safe, compliant, and cost-effective project delivery from concept through completion.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the planning, scoping, engineering, execution, and overall management of capital growth, maintenance, and pipeline projects throughout the full project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational requirements.

Develop and manage project scope, schedules, cost estimates, execution strategies, procurement plans, contracting approaches, risk management frameworks, and all supporting project documentation.

Direct and oversee engineering activities, including the review and approval of third-party engineering deliverables such as technical reports, design packages, drawings, specifications, and material requisitions to ensure quality, compliance, and adherence to budget and schedule.

Evaluate vendor proposals and technical bids, recommend supplier selections, and collaborate closely with Supply Chain teams to support procurement activities and optimize project value.

Ensure all projects are delivered in compliance with applicable regulatory, environmental, health and safety requirements, corporate policies, industry codes, standards, and engineering best practices.

Facilitate and participate in project assurance processes, including design reviews, constructability assessments, process hazard analyses (PHA), risk evaluations, and implementation readiness reviews.

Identify and support business improvement initiatives, cost optimization opportunities, and value-enhancing solutions that strengthen project economics and business justification.

Provide technical leadership and expert guidance to project teams and stakeholders, driving continuous improvement through lessons learned, contractor performance evaluations, engineering standards updates, and process enhancements.

Coordinate technical resources and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, external consultants, contractors, vendors, and regulatory agencies to ensure successful project delivery and stakeholder alignment.

Apply strong engineering judgment and project management expertise to resolve complex technical and business challenges, manage multiple concurrent projects, and deliver safe, reliable, and fit-for-purpose solutions.
Scope:
-
Manage facility and pipeline projects within the Liquid Pipelines Business Unit, with project values ranging from $500K to $200MM.

Lead projects involving pump stations, booster pumps, cooling systems, piping networks, manifolds, valves, pig traps, storage tanks, terminals, blending facilities, and other mechanical and process equipment.

Apply industry-recognized project management methodologies, engineering principles, and construction standards to ensure successful project execution.

Oversee the development and implementation of technical solutions while effectively coordinating multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.

Provide informal leadership, mentorship, and technical support to peers and project team members.
Qualifications:
Required:

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Piping, or equivalent preferred).

Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in engineering, project management, and capital project delivery.

Demonstrated ability to drive innovation, lead change initiatives, and implement process improvements.

Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously while balancing competing priorities and deadlines.

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to make sound technical and commercial decisions.

Excellent understanding of stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration in complex project environments.

Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
Preferred:

Experience in project budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, cost control, and performance reporting.

Strong leadership presence with a high degree of professional judgment, initiative, and accountability.

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strategic business perspective.
