Post-Construction Cleaning Working Supervisor

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Working Supervisor to lead our post-construction cleaning crews on high-rise residential projects throughout Calgary.
This is not a desk or management-only position. The successful candidate will work alongside the crew while supervising daily operations, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You will lead by example, assist with cleaning when required, and be responsible for maintaining productivity and quality on every project.
You will work directly with builders, site superintendents, project managers, and other trades while overseeing crews and ensuring projects are completed on schedule.
This is a temporary, project-based position with opportunities for ongoing work and advancement as the company continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead by example by actively participating in post-construction cleaning alongside your crew.
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of cleaning staff on active construction sites.
- Perform post-construction cleaning, including rough cleans, final cleans, touch-ups, and occupancy-ready cleaning as required.
- Assign daily tasks and ensure work is completed efficiently and to company standards.
- Conduct quality inspections before builder walkthroughs.
- Communicate professionally with builders, site superintendents, project managers, and other subcontractors.
- Attend site meetings and represent the company in a professional manner.
- Train, mentor, and support crew members.
- Ensure all employees follow site safety policies and PPE requirements.
- Resolve issues on-site and make decisions to keep projects moving efficiently.
- Monitor productivity, attendance, and workmanship.
- Complete daily reports, timesheets, and project updates.
- Travel between multiple job sites throughout Calgary as required.
QualificationsRequired
- 3–5 years of supervisory experience in post-construction cleaning, preferably on high-rise residential projects.
- Strong hands-on experience performing post-construction cleaning.
- Proven ability to lead crews while actively working alongside them.
- Thorough knowledge of rough cleans, final cleans, touch-up cleans, and occupancy-ready cleaning.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Comfortable speaking with builders, site superintendents, project managers, and clients in a professional manner.
- Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver's Licence with a clean driving record.
- Reliable vehicle and ability to travel throughout Calgary.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing stairs, working at heights where required, and performing repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the day.
- Comfortable using smartphones for scheduling, communication, and daily reporting.
Preferred
- WHMIS Certification.
- CSTS 2020 Certification.
- Standard First Aid Certification.
- Experience managing multiple crews and job sites.
