Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Metal Building Foreman to lead and oversee construction projects involving metal building systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising on-site activities, ensuring project quality, adhering to safety standards, and managing team performance. This role requires strong leadership skills, extensive construction knowledge, and proficiency with various construction management tools. The Metal Building Foreman will play a critical role in delivering projects on time, within budget, and to client specifications.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily construction activities related to metal building projects, ensuring adherence to project plans and schedules
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and team members to maintain workflow efficiency
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents to guide on-site work
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, and Primavera P6 for project tracking and documentation
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure work meets safety standards and project specifications
- Manage project budgets, track costs, and assist with construction estimating as needed
- Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular safety meetings to promote a safe work environment
- Oversee the installation of structural components, panels, and related systems with precision
- Provide mentorship and supervision to crew members, fostering a productive team environment
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience in metal building or general construction projects
- Extensive construction experience with a focus on steel framing or metal systems
- Proficiency with construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, or similar tools
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating processes
- Knowledge of quality control procedures and safety regulations within the construction industry
- Ability to manage budgets effectively and perform basic construction budgeting tasks
- Experience overseeing multiple crews or subcontractors on large-scale projects is preferred
