JOB SUMMARY:
Lantic is currently recruiting for the temporary position of Accounts Payable Clerk, reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager and based at our Montreal head office. The Accounts Payable Clerk performs key functions within the Accounts Payable department, being responsible for updating and improving accounts payable procedures. The incumbent performs all other tasks within the department such as printing invoices, sending invoices for approval, entering the invoices into Business Central, processing payments and assisting with month-end closing for accounts payable.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform the daily entry of over 100 invoices;
Manage discrepancies found and send invoices for approval to appropriate departments;
Ensure proper accounting allocation of GLs for invoices and expense reports;
Verify the reception of purchasing orders and delivery notes in Business Central;
Verify suppliers’ statements and request missing invoices;
Ensure suppliers are paid according to payment terms and assist with mailing checks;
Maintain good relationships with suppliers by diligently responding to their inquiries by phone or by email;
Close the open purchasing orders after paying the corresponding invoices;
Assist in preparing month-end expense reports;
Participate in the continuous improvement of accounts payable procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Diploma of professional studies in Accounting or equivalent;
Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in a similar position;
Experience in a public company (an asset);
Bilingualism French/English (spoken and written) in order to be able to communicate with both our French- and English- speaking sites;
Ability to manage a large volume of transactions about 100 invoices daily;
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office;
Knowledge of Business Central (an asset);
Analytical and detail-oriented;
Interpersonal skills and teamwork;
Flexible and independent;
Efficient, organized, ability to manage several projects and competing priorities.
