Role Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented full-time Social Media & Community Specialist to join our Marketing team (Maternity leave coverage) and contribute to Atlas's voice across all social media platforms. Reporting to the Director of Marketing & E-Commerce, this role will work closely with the Marketing & E-Commerce team to support and grow Atlas's organic social presence across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and other channels.
The Social Media & Community Specialist will play a hands-on role in creating daily content, engaging with online communities, and supporting influencer and vendor partner relationships to grow brand awareness, strengthen customer connections, and build brand loyalty. This role will also assist in tracking and analyzing social media performance and contribute recommendations to enhance campaigns and optimize social media initiatives.

This is a full-time, on-site position based at our Atlas location, requiring presence five days a week to collaborate closely with the in-store team and capture authentic, day-to-day content.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Support the development and execution of social media strategies and content plans aligned with business objectives to drive traffic, revenue, and overall brand growth.
- Create and manage engaging organic content across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and other social platforms, including videos, reels, stories, photography, and photoshoots.
- Collaborate with the Marketing and E-Commerce teams to ensure all content aligns with the broader marketing strategy and promotional calendar.
- Monitor social media performance analytics and contribute recommendations for paid amplification strategies to maximize reach and engagement with targeted audiences.
- Assist in preparing performance reports, analyzing campaign results, and providing actionable insights that support continuous improvement.
- Manage day-to-day community engagement across all social channels by responding to comments, messages, and reviews in a timely and professional manner.
- Support the planning, scheduling, and timely delivery of social media assets, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with brand standards.
- Help build and maintain relationships with influencers, community members, and brand partners to increase brand awareness, deepen engagement, and grow revenue opportunities.
- Contribute to the concept development, production, and management of content from start to finish, including video creation, editing, and final execution for our in-store media wall screens, including seasonal, promotional, and event programming.
- Assist the Marketing team in the creation and production of video and static assets for digital, social media, and promotional advertising campaigns.
- Support the management and optimization of LinkTree and link-in-bio strategies to drive traffic, support campaigns, and ensure a seamless user experience across platforms.
- Work cross-functionally with customer service, product, retail, and other internal teams to support social-related initiatives and ensure a consistent brand experience at every touchpoint.
- Stay informed on emerging social media trends, platform algorithm updates, and cultural moments to help keep Atlas's content strategy relevant, timely, and competitive.
- As part of a collaborative and dynamic team, contribute support across Marketing and E-Commerce functions as needed, stepping in to assist teammates and keep operations running smoothly during busy periods or when team coverage requires it.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- University degree or College Diploma in Marketing, Communications, Social Media, Graphic Design, Video Production, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in social media, content creation, and/or digital marketing, ideally within a retail brand or e-commerce environment.
- A foundational understanding of content marketing strategies and how they contribute to overall business objectives.
- A creative, curious mindset with a willingness to bring fresh ideas and proactively identify opportunities to elevate the brand.
- Demonstrated ability to produce short-form and long-form video content across the stages of production from concept and filming through to editing and post-production, paired with strong copywriting and storytelling skills.
- Experience designing graphic assets for static and video-based creative content across social media, digital advertising, and marketing campaigns.
- Working knowledge of current social media platforms, content marketing best practices, and a genuine interest in staying ahead of trends and algorithm changes.
- Proficiency in creative editing software such as Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Canva, TikTok, and CapCut.
- Solid analytical skills with the ability to interpret social media performance metrics and translate data into actionable recommendations.
- Strong organizational skills with experience using project management platforms such as Asana to manage content calendars, deliverables, and marketing initiatives.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment, while consistently delivering high-quality work.
- Comfortable using AI tools and emerging technologies to support content creation, data analysis, and workflow efficiency.
- A customer-first mindset with the ability to maintain a professional, empathetic, and on-brand voice across all community interactions.
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and eager to learn and grow within a dynamic marketing team.

Pay: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
