This position conducts work directly related to management or general business operations in an organization or functional area. The work requires advanced knowledge gained from a prolonged course of specialized instruction, experience, and expertise. The position includes work requiring the consistent exercise of discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.
Scope
This position performs basic project accounting activities and assumes responsibility for maintenance of project-related ledger accounts.
Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Understand the Prime Contract commercial terms
- Analyze and apply the activities being performed with respect to engineering and construction accounting methodology and company practices
- Perform the required tasks and follow established written procedures and techniques to accomplish activities
- Participate in the Commercial Alignment Process and preparation of the Integrated Framework Checklist for the Project Business Plan and Project Integrated Framework Alignment meetings
- Set-up project structure in SAP
- Support and lead invoicing
- Reconcile cost, hours, and billing
- Monitor and report on labor, expense, and expat costs
- Perform project close-out activities
- Apply discretion and evaluation capabilities
- Interface with other groups inside and outside the organization, senior management, other locations, clients, and auditors
- Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines
- Organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines
- Plan and organize own work assignments, as well as carry out tasks from management staff
- Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards
- Adhere to and support Fluor's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies
- Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and two (2) years* of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to six (6) years* if non-degreed
- Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
- Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
- Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, province, and federal statutes and guidelines
- Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
