About the Position
- We are searching for a permanent Manager, Disability Client Relationships & Health and Wellness to join our Life and Disability team.
- The starting salary will be determined based on a combination of skills, education, and experience. The salary range is $100,000 – $122,000 per year.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a strategic role in strengthening relationships with our clients while helping them navigate complex disability management, claims, and employee wellness challenges. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will bridge the gap between client expectations, operational claims decisions, and business objectives, ensuring solutions are balanced, practical, and aligned with policy.
This role may be of particular interest to professionals currently working as a Wellness Program Manager, Manager of Disability Programs & Wellness, Manager of Workplace Wellness & Disability Management, Disability Management Consultant, Health & Wellness Manager, Employee Health Strategist, or other client-facing disability management and wellness leadership positions.
We're looking for a highly collaborative professional with strong disability management and wellness expertise, as well as exceptional relationship-building skills. Working closely with clients, group account teams, claims leaders, and internal stakeholders, you will provide consultation on disability-related concerns, deliver wellness-focused education, and support the development of innovative health initiatives that improve employee outcomes.
During your first year, your primary focus will be building relationships with key client groups, supporting health and wellness activities, and establishing yourself as a trusted resource on disability management and claims-related matters. Success in this role means creating strong client partnerships, effectively managing complex stakeholder conversations, and helping clients better understand and support their employees through health, wellness, and disability-related challenges.

Key Experiences You Bring To This Role
- Bachelor’s degree in Disability Management, Occupational Health or related discipline.
- Strong expertise in data governance, analytics, and emerging AI applications.
- 5-8 years of related experience and success in the management/design of organizational health and welfare plans at a consulting or leadership level.
- In-depth knowledge of the disability insurance industry and the key players in Canada.
- Demonstrates strong ability to diagnose client issues, collaborate, and leverage related expertise to drive effective solutions, supported by exceptional executive‑level communication and presentation skills,
- Deeply proficient critical thinker with superior ability to surface underlying customer issues/concerns and identifying root causes in order to develop recommendations
- Works effectively with vendors and internal and external partners to reach practical agreements, and uses data to understand what’s happening, spot patterns, and support better decisions.
- Strong affinity, knowledge, and expertise with regards to the use of metrics and analytics to further understand trends, predict outcomes and drive change
It’s preferred and considered an asset if you have:
- Certified Disability Management Professional (CDMP) or Certified Excellence Professional (CEP) designation, or equivalent
