Hours: Monday to Thursday, 3:20pm-1:50am. 40 hours per week, with overtime as required

Due to continued business growth and increasing customer demand, we are seeking skilled CNC Machinists to join our milling and turning departments.
We are seeking experienced CNC Machinists with a minimum of three (3) years of experience independently setting up, operating, and troubleshooting multi-axis Mazak CNC machining centres. Successful candidates will have a solid understanding of Mazatrol and/or Mazak EIA (G-code) programming, be capable of making program edits and process improvements, and consistently produce high-quality precision components with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently set up, program, operate, and troubleshoot CNC lathes and/or CNC milling machines.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, work orders, and manufacturing documentation.
- Create, edit, optimize, and troubleshoot CNC programs as required.
- Select tooling, workholding, fixtures, and cutting parameters appropriate for each job.
- Perform first-off, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring equipment.
- Verify dimensions and maintain machining tolerances in accordance with customer specifications.
- Monitor machining processes and troubleshoot production or tooling issues.
- Complete production records, inspection documentation, and quality paperwork.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain an organized and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety policies, quality procedures, and manufacturing standards.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior machinists and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, programmers, quality personnel, and production teams to improve productivity, quality, and on-time delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum three (3) years of recent experience independently setting up and operating CNC milling and/or turning centres in a production manufacturing environment.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience setting up and operating multi-axis Mazak CNC machining centres using Mazatrol and/or Mazak EIA (G-code) controls.
- Working knowledge of CNC programming, including the ability to read, understand, modify, and troubleshoot existing Mazatrol and G-code programs, make tool offsets, adjust cutting parameters, and optimize machining cycles.
- Ability to independently perform complete machine setups, select tooling and workholding, establish work offsets, prove out new jobs, and produce precision machined components with minimal supervision.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and manufacturing documentation.
- Strong knowledge of machining practices, cutting tools, feeds and speeds, workholding, fixture design, and machining processes.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments including:
- Micrometers
- Calipers
- Bore Gauges
- Dial Indicators
- Thread Gauges
- Strong understanding of machining tolerances, quality standards, and first-off/in-process inspection requirements.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and process improvement skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
The following experience will be considered strong assets:
- Experience operating and setting up Mazak, Doosan, Haas, Fanuc, Mazatrol, or equivalent CNC machining centres and turning centres.
- Multi-axis machining experience.
- Experience with CAD/CAM software including Fusion 360, Mastercam, or equivalent.
- Oil & gas manufacturing experience.
- High-volume precision machining.
- Experience machining carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, Inconel, and other specialty alloys.
Equivalent experience operating and programming similar CNC equipment will receive full consideration.
