Sterile Processing Technician (MDR) I/ II/III
Make an impact behind the scenes of patient care. Vitalis Surgical Centre is seeking a detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technicians to join our growing healthcare team. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in ensuring all surgical instruments and endoscopes are properly reprocessed, sterilized, and ready for use in accordance with hospital protocols and industry standards. This role is vital to ensuring patient safety and supporting clinical operations through efficient sterilization practices.

What You’ll Do
- Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, sterilize, and store endoscopes, surgical instruments and medical device using approved methods
- Operate and maintain reprocessing equipment such as washer-disinfectors, ultrasonic cleaners, low temperature sterilizers and autoclaves
- Inspect instruments and equipment for damage or wear, perform quality checks to ensure that instruments meet performance and sterility requirements and quality standards before use.
- Maintain accurate documentation of sterilization cycles, equipment maintenance, and inventory levels. Ensure proper packaging and labeling.
- Prepare sterilized instruments case carts and trays for storage or distribution to clinical staff for a variety of surgical procedures
- Follow strict infection control protocols and safety procedures to prevent contamination or cross-infection at all times.
- Assist with inventory management by tracking supplies, ordering replacement items, and organizing storage areas.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure timely availability of sterile instruments. Assist with OR cleaning and efficient turnover between cases
What You Bring
- Completion of an accredited Medical Device Reprocessing (MDR) program
- Strong attention to detail with ability to follow structured processes, protocols, and safety guidelines meticulously
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically active environment
- Excellent communication skills with ability to work effectively in healthcare team
- Knowledge of medical terminology for accurate documentation and communication
