Summary
We are seeking an experienced MRO Buyer to manage the sourcing, procurement, and inventory control of Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) materials and services across WMG facilities. This role is critical to ensuring uninterrupted plant operations by maintaining the availability of spare parts, consumables, tools, and services required to support manufacturing, tooling, maintenance, and facilities operations. The MRO Buyer will work closely with Maintenance, Engineering, Tooling, Operations, and Finance teams to control indirect spend, reduce downtime risk, optimize inventory levels, and build strong supplier partnerships while ensuring compliance with WMG purchasing policies.
Responsibilities
- Procure MRO materials including spare parts, tooling components, consumables, safety supplies, maintenance services, and facility-related items.
- Support maintenance, tooling, engineering, and production teams during equipment breakdowns, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs.
- Manage supplier relationships for MRO categories (industrial distributors, OEM suppliers, service providers).
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, contracts, and blanket purchase agreements to reduce indirect spend.
- Ensure timely availability of critical spare parts to minimize production downtime. o Maintain and optimize MRO inventory levels, including min/max settings and critical spares lists.
- Monitor and control MRO spending against budget targets. o Process purchase requisitions and purchase orders in ERP systems; ensure accurate receiving and invoice reconciliation.
- Support vendor qualification, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work with Maintenance and Engineering to standardize parts, reduce supplier duplication, and eliminate obsolete inventory.
- Assist with cost-reduction initiatives, supplier consolidation, and strategic sourcing projects.
- Ensure compliance with internal purchasing policies and audit requirements.
- Support plant launches, new equipment installations, and tooling projects with timely MRO sourcing.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1–3 years of experience in MRO purchasing, indirect procurement, or plant-based supply chain roles.
- Proven experience in procurement or purchasing within manufacturing or automotive industries.
- Strong knowledge of SAP, ERP systems, and supply chain management.
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Ability to analyze pricing strategies and optimize costs.
- Effective communication skills in English.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing equipment, tooling, maintenance operations, and spare parts.
- Experience working in automotive or high-volume manufacturing environments preferred.
- Strong negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Pay: $23.00-$31.00 per hour
