POSITION SUMMARY:
The Jr Support Analyst position is an entry level opportunity in healthcare technology. You will gain experience in supporting and maintaining different types of technical equipment and related software systems. This position has a focus on WOW (Workstation on Wheels) maintenance and also includes but is not limited to: installing, configuring, diagnosing, repairing, and upgrading all corporate hardware, equipment and any related software systems while ensuring their optimal performance.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- WOW device management activities; build, deployment of new equipment and maintenance. Accurately document instances of new hardware, repair, installation, and removal.
- Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end user and network hardware, software, peripheral devices, printing/scanning devices, and other accepted products and services.
- Responds and manages service tickets, following the incident management process as defined in the tech support dashboards.
- Records, tracks and documents progress on incidents in the Transform service management tool (ServiceNow) and ensures proper actions are taken through to final resolution.
- Ensures effective communication with customers for current state of incident resolution through effective communications using ServiceNow.
- Performs PC repairs, application troubleshooting, and images/configures/deploys new and repaired computers.
- First level responder for printer related issues before escalating to the printer management vendor.
- May include mobile device support (phones, tablets, portable devices) depending on work assignment
- E-waste recycling duties includes separating and documenting unwanted PC related parts and equipment as part of the evergreen program.
- Ensures all work areas meet housekeeping standards and are free from all safety hazards.
- Works cohesively as a team and escalates un-resolvable issues to the Support Analyst team or designated Senior Support Analyst.
- Required to perform other duties as assigned by IT department leadership.
MUST- HAVES:
- Enrolled in two (2) year Community College Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Networking, or related discipline
- Demonstrated knowledge of information technology and management information systems, modern electronic data processing theory, principles and practices, office automation and software applications
- Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
- Proficient problem resolution and troubleshooting skills and aptitude
- Proficient technical and analytical skills
- Excellent customer service and personal interaction skills
- Experience working in a healthcare or business environment an asset.
OTHER CONDITIONS:
- Minimal exposure to disagreeable conditions typical of an office position: exposed to stress and pressure associated with multiple priorities and deadlines
- Must be able to travel within the Southwestern Ontario area, when required
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends, when required
