Hope Health Recovery is a compassionate and patient-centered addiction medicine clinic dedicated to supporting individuals on their recovery journey. We are seeking a Clinical Assistant / Patient Services Coordinator who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of others and thrives in a collaborative healthcare environment.
In this hybrid role, you will serve as both a key administrative and clinical support team member, ensuring a positive patient experience while supporting the delivery of high-quality services. You will be responsible for welcoming patients, coordinating appointments, maintaining accurate medical records, assisting with specimen collection and testing, supporting clinical workflows, and collaborating closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist patients, complete check-in procedures, verify demographic and health card information, and maintain accurate patient records.
- Schedule appointments, coordinate follow-up visits, process physician orders, referrals, and other clinic documentation.
- Support patient intake processes by gathering preliminary information and ensuring all required documentation is complete.
- Coordinate urine sample collection, retrieval, testing, and documentation in accordance with clinic protocols.
- Accurately record test results, identify abnormal findings, and escalate concerns to the physician as required.
- Provide patients with instructions, test results, and follow-up information while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
- Assist with clinical duties including rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, administering injections (where applicable), and supporting physicians with delegated tasks.
- Manage patient flow throughout the clinic to ensure efficient operations and a positive patient experience.
- Prepare examination rooms, maintain inventory levels, and ensure clinical areas are stocked and organized.
- Monitor missed appointments, conduct patient follow-up calls, and assist with continuity of care planning.
- Support specialized patient programs, including coordination of laboratory requisitions, testing schedules, and external service providers.
- Collaborate with physicians and team members to deliver high-quality patient care and administrative support.

Qualifications and Experience
- Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) is an asset
- Minimum of 2 years of medical office experience preferred
- Experience with addiction medicine is an asset
- Experience with PatientVu is an asset

Pay: $23.00-$26.00 per hour
