We are currently seeking a talented individual to join the Jack Hulland Elementary School team. The JHES school acknowledges and respects, and are grateful for the opportunity to work, learn and play within the traditional territories of the Kwanlin Dün First Nation and the Ta’an Kwäch’än Council. Jack Hulland Elementary is a Kindergarten to Grade 7 neighborhood school aiming to foster a welcoming, safe, and inclusive educational environment; one where each student is supported to meet their full potential.
This position provides an opportunity to work as a 1.0 FTE Educational Assistant, interacting with students 1-on-1, within small groups, in Shared Resource Classrooms with vulnerable students, or within whole classroom instruction – building on academics, supporting and promoting positive behaviours, and interacting with students in a developmentally responsive manner for the duration of the 2026/2027 school year.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Please clearly demonstrate on your cover letter and resume, how you meet the following qualifications and experience:
Grade 12 graduation or equivalent;- Experience working with children;
- Post-secondary training in Exceptionalities Worker Program, Special Education, Teacher Education, Early Childhood Education, Social Services or Medical Services would be an asset;
- Experience working with neuro-diverse students will be an asset.
- Knowledge and practice relating to a Ready to Learn Schools/Developmentally Responsive Approach to meet the diverse needs of students would be an asset.
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND SUITABILITY:
Candidates should have and may be assessed on their:
Ability to work effectively with students, teachers and parents;- Adaptability to cope with a wide variety of situations;
