Wage Range: $23.00-$25.00/ hour (with paid breaks)
Expected Schedule: 16 hours/week, Tues-Fri, subject to change based on business needs

Victoria Women In Need Community Cooperative (WIN) is a non-profit community service cooperative that provides programs to support women, trans, non-binary, and Two-Spirit people along their journey between crisis, self-sufficiency, and wellness. We run seven (7) resale shop locations as well as an online shop to be able to support us in funding our programs and operations.

About the Role
The Human Resources Coordinator provides day-to-day support for WIN's human resources operations and serves as a key resource for employees and managers across the organization. Working closely with the HR Manager and Executive Director, this role supports recruitment, onboarding, employee records administration, benefits administration, HRIS administration, employee relations, leave management, employee communications, and HR projects.
Key Responsibilities Include (But Are Not Limited To):
- Coordinate recruitment activities, including posting vacancies, scheduling interviews, conducting reference checks, and preparing hiring documentation.
- Coordinate onboarding and orientation activities and support employee lifecycle processes from hire through departure.
- Maintain employee files, records, HRIS systems, and confidential HR documentation.
- Administer employee benefits, leave tracking, training records, and employment-related documentation.
- Respond to routine employee and manager inquiries regarding policies, procedures, benefits, and HR processes.
- Support employee engagement, recognition, training, wellness, and workplace culture initiatives.
- Prepare HR reports, correspondence, forms, and documentation.
- Participate in employee meetings, workplace reviews, investigations, and accommodation processes in a support capacity.
- Support policy implementation, compliance activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety standards, including WorkSafeBC requirements and WIN’s internal policies.
- Other duties as required.
Skills, Education, and Experience:
- Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- CPHR (or working towards CPHR) is an asset.
- Minimum of three (3) years of progressive human resources experience supporting multiple HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, workplace investigations, accommodation processes, leave management, policy administration, employee records management, and HR compliance activities.
- Experience working with HRIS, payroll, benefits, and employee records systems.
- Strong organizational, administrative, and time management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Demonstrated ability to build positive working relationships with employees, managers, and external stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of BC Employment Standards, human resources best practices, and workplace legislation.
- Experience in a non-profit environment is considered an asset.

Other:
- The position is based primarily at the WIN Administration Office (Pandora Avenue) and warehouse, with frequent movement between operational areas.
- Travel between WIN sites may be required.
