What you’ll be doing as a People and Culture Lead
- Partner with leaders to support the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment through offboarding.
- Provide practical HR guidance that supports a positive, respectful and engaged workplace.
- Support employee relations, performance management and workplace investigations.
- Coordinate learning and development, health and safety administration, HR systems and compliance activities.
- Help strengthen the People and Culture practices that support KCC's employees and continued grow

What you bring with you
- 3 - 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience with exposure across multiple areas of the employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and performance management.
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Human Resources or related field.
- CPHR designation, or progress toward obtaining your designation is considered an asset.
- Experience providing practical HR guidance to leaders and supporting employee relations, workplace investigations, and performance conversations.
- Working knowledge of the BC Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Code, WorkSafeBC requirements, and HR best practices.
- Experience coordinating learning and development initiatives, health and safety administration, and HR compliance activities.
- Confidence managing sensitive information with professionalism, sound judgement and discretion.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and conflict resolution skills with the ability to build trust at all levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS and/or payroll systems.
