Radix Concrete Pumping has an exciting opportunity to join our growing team as a General Labourer / Swamper. This position plays an important role in supporting our Concrete Pump Operators on residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects throughout Southern Vancouver Island.

Job Requirements, Abilities & Responsibilities
The following are some of the job requirements, abilities, and responsibilities, including but not limited to:
- Assist the Concrete Pump Operator with the setup, operation, and cleanup of concrete pumping equipment.
- Carry, place, connect, and manage delivery hose during concrete pours.
- Assist with line pump and boom pump operations while maintaining safe work practices.
- Ensure the safety of company personnel, customers, the public, and the environment.
- Maintain clear communication with the Pump Operator and site personnel during pumping operations.
- Clean hoses, pipelines, pumps, and equipment at the completion of each job.
- Assist with routine maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs of pumping equipment.
- Keep equipment, vehicles, and work areas clean and free of concrete build-up.
- Load and unload tools, hoses, and equipment as required.
- Promote and maintain a TEAM environment.
- Perform a variety of labour and equipment-related tasks as required.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime.
- Assist with other company operations and duties when concrete pumping work is unavailable.
Personal Attributes & Qualifications
- Physically fit and capable of performing strenuous labour, including lifting and carrying heavy hose and equipment.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Strong commitment to safety.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently when required.
- Customer service oriented and professional when interacting with clients and contractors.
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence required.
- Class 3 driver's licence with air endorsement is considered an asset.
- Experience in construction, concrete placing, pumping, or heavy equipment operations is considered an asset.
- Mechanical aptitude is considered an asset.
Work Environment
- Working at various construction sites throughout Southern Vancouver Island.
- Exposure to changing weather conditions and outdoor environments.
- Frequent lifting, carrying, bending, and physical activity.
- Early morning starts and occasional overtime as required.
