As we enter our next stage of growth, we are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of the business while preserving the values and standards that define the Viberg brand.
Position Summary
The General Manager is responsible for the overall performance of the company, including operations, manufacturing, supply chain, retail, e-commerce support, and financial execution.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the General Manager will translate strategy into execution, drive profitability, improve operational efficiency, and build a high-performance team.
This role is intended to create a scalable organization capable of supporting future growth while maintaining the quality and exclusivity that define Viberg.
Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Operations
- Lead day-to-day business operations
- Develop and manage annual operating plans
- Establish KPIs and accountability across departments
- Build and mentor department leaders
- Foster a culture of ownership, excellence, and continuous improvement
Manufacturing & Supply Chain
- Oversee production planning and scheduling
- Improve manufacturing efficiency and throughput
- Manage inventory levels and inventory turns
- Maintain Viberg's quality standards
- Strengthen supplier relationships and sourcing strategies
Key Objectives
- Reduce excess inventory
- Improve gross margins
- Increase operational efficiency
- Maintain on-time delivery performance
Financial Performance
- Manage budgets and operating expenses
- Monitor cash flow and working capital
- Partner with Finance on forecasting and reporting
- Drive EBITDA growth and profitability
Key Objectives
- Achieve annual EBITDA targets
- Improve inventory turns
- Optimize operating expenses
- Support long-term enterprise value creation
Retail & Customer Experience
- Oversee NYC flagship operations
- Support development of the Made-to-Order program
- Ensure a consistent luxury customer experience
- Improve client retention and customer lifetime value
E-Commerce & Commercial Performance
- Collaborate with marketing and e-commerce teams
- Improve conversion, average order value, and retention
- Support product launch planning and release execution
- Ensure alignment between production and demand forecasts
Strategic Projects
- Lead systems and process improvements
- Support expansion initiatives
- Participate in acquisition, investment, and strategic planning discussions
QualificationsRequired
- 10+ years of senior leadership experience
- Experience managing manufacturing or premium consumer goods businesses
- Strong financial acumen
- Proven experience scaling operations
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills
- Experience managing cross-functional teams
Preferred
- Luxury, footwear, apparel, or heritage brand experience
- Direct-to-consumer experience
- Experience with inventory-intensive businesses
- Experience leading organizations through growth, restructuring, or sale processes
