CNC Brake Press Operator

Rennie Equipment Inc. is seeking a motivated and reliable CNC Brake Press Operator to join our growing fabrication team. We have recently invested in new, top-of-the-line CNC brake press equipment, providing operators with modern technology, advanced controls, and a clean, efficient work environment.
We are looking for an experienced operator, but we are also willing to train the right candidate who is eager to learn, has strong mathematical skills, and is comfortable working with computers and technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC brake press equipment to bend and form metal components according to drawings and production requirements while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
Wage
- Entry Level / Willing to Train: $22.00–$28.00 per hour
- Experienced CNC Brake Press Operator: $28.00–$35.00 per hour
Wages are based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC brake press machinery.
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings and work orders.
- Program and adjust machine settings as required.
- Select and install appropriate tooling.
- Measure and inspect parts to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Perform first-piece and in-process inspections.
- Maintain production records and job documentation.
- Safely handle materials using overhead cranes and forklifts (training provided if required).
- Keep work areas clean and organized.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices.
- Work closely with fabrication and welding teams to meet production schedules.
Qualifications
- Previous brake press experience is preferred but not required.
- Willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Strong math skills are required.
- Comfortable working with computers and CNC equipment.
- Mechanically inclined and eager to learn new skills.
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and squares.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused.
