Position Summary
This role supports Cumeo’s product development and client presentation work by preparing production- ready artwork, creating dielines and templates, developing digital proofs, and assisting with graphic design for packaging, reusable bags, and retail products. The role also helps coordinate factory drawings, review samples, support approvals, create presentations, catalogues, and marketing materials, and maintain organized digital assets. This is a hands-on creative and technical role suited for someone interested in design, mass manufacturing, packaging, stitching, sewing, and bag/product development.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and refine packaging artwork, dielines, and production-ready files for retail packaging and reusable bags.
- Interpret client logos, branding, and design guidelines for packaging and product applications.
- Develop mockups, proofs, and presentation materials for client and internal review.
- Prepare and validate print-ready artwork to ensure compliance with production specifications.
- Collaborate with sales, suppliers, and manufacturing partners to support packaging development and production execution.
- Support sample reviews, approvals, and problem-solving throughout the production process.
- Assist with basic prototyping, material exploration, and studio production activities.
- Maintain organized project files, templates, and digital asset libraries.
What You'll Bring:
- Diploma or degree in Graphic Design, Packaging Design, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Strong understanding of packaging graphics, artwork preparation, and print production.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive, hands-on approach and willingness to learn.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Ability to balance creative thinking with technical accuracy.
- Interest in both design and manufacturing.
- Secondary language is an asset: Cantonese, Mandarin, or Vietnamese.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with packaging dielines and pre-press workflows.
- Portfolio demonstrating packaging graphics, mockups, or production-ready artwork.
- Experience with creating stitched products and templates
- Experience in retail, consumer products, fashion, or soft goods.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted design tools and workflows.
- Exposure to product development, prototyping, or manufacturing processes.
Location & Hours
- Full-time, in-office role based in Vancouver, BC.
- Standard daytime business hours with occasional coordination across Asian time zones.
Compensation
CAD $50,000–$70,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Final compensation will reflect level of experience and scope of responsibility.
