Shady Lane Expert Tree Care is seeking an experienced and driven Lead Consulting Arboristto spearhead the growth of our consulting practice. Your Opportunity
As the leader of our consulting division, you will:
- Direct and grow consulting services for land development, municipalities, engineering firms, planners, and institutional clients.
- Prepare and oversee high-quality arborist reports, Tree Preservation Plans, Arborist Impact Assessments, Tree Inventory and Preservation Reports, construction monitoring, and related technical documents.
- Conduct and manage large-scale tree inventories using GPS/GIS-based data collection systems.
- Work with AutoCAD and related drafting software to integrate arboricultural data into development and infrastructure projects.
- Build strong relationships with developers, municipal staff, landscape architects, engineers, and environmental consultants.
- Mentor and lead future consulting staff while helping establish best practices and quality standards.
- Drive strategic growth and contribute to the long-term success of the division.
Qualifications
We are looking for an exceptional professional with:
- ISA Certified Arborist designation (required)
- A minimum of five years of consulting arboriculture experience
- Demonstrated experience preparing reports for large development projects and municipal approvals
- Proficiency with GPS tree inventory systems and digital data collection
- Experience using AutoCAD or CAD-based drafting software
- Outstanding technical writing, communication, and organizational skills
- Proven leadership abilities and project management experience
- Experience managing multidisciplinary consulting projects and client relationships
Preferred additional qualifications include:
- Bachelor of Science in Forestry (B.Sc.F.)
- Registered Professional Forester (R.P.F.)
- Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science or a related discipline
- Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ)
